We get a lot of questions from patients about the potential treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) through Stem Cell Therapy. You may have seen ads promising to cure just about anything with stem cell therapy. Because Pulmonary Fibrosis is a progressive lung disease, many patients are understandably anxious in seeking a cure or at least some benefit wherever they can find it. Unfortunately, there is some really bad and even dangerous information out there about stem cell therapy. Currently, there is no role for stem cell therapy in the treatment of IPF.
